The Board helps deliver the Building Better Lives 10 year strategy. Gloucestershire County Council plans to improve lives in an all-age, all-disability strategy. The Learning Disability Partnership Board co-produces many of its plans with its members. Co-production means that people must be involved in planning and making the changes. Gloucestershire County Council commissioned a project to make sure that people with a learning disability in the county have a strong voice and build friendships with other members.
These groups are run by Inclusion Gloucestershire, a user-led organisation in the county.
Inclusion Gloucestershire holds 'Local Area Inclusion Hubs' in:
- Cheltenham
- Gloucester
- Forest of Dean - Coleford
The Local Area Inclusion Hubs listen to what is happening at the Partnership Board and are given the opportunity to share their opinions on the issues that arise. They also have a say in what issues they would like to see on the next partnership board agenda.
